False Alarm: IDF Reports No Drone Infiltration After Northern Alerts

Air raid sirens sounded across several communities in the Upper Galilee region of northern Israel overnight Thursday, following a suspected drone infiltration. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) later announced that the alerts were triggered by a false identification and that no enemy aircraft had entered Israeli airspace.

The alerts were activated at approximately 4:24 AM in the communities of Ghajar, Kfar Yuval, Ma'ayan Baruch, Beit Hillel, and HaGoshrim. Shortly after the sirens ceased, the Home Front Command declared the incident over, advising residents to leave protected areas.

This incident follows a similar event about a week prior, where the IDF investigated alerts for hostile aircraft in northern Israel. Initial findings suggested that several interceptors were likely launched at a false target, indicating a potential system malfunction or misinterpretation of aerial activity.
