Hapoel Tel Aviv Owner Expresses Pride in Fans, Optimism for New Season

Hapoel Tel Aviv held a celebratory Rosh Hashanah gathering at Bloomfield Stadium, attended by players, staff, former players, and business partners. Club owner Edmond Safra addressed the attendees via video call, expressing his excitement about the club's progress and the fans' support.

"I am following and of course excited to see the wonderful work being done at the club, and I hope to meet you soon," Safra stated. "I am very proud of our fans and their support for the club, it brings me joy and makes me miss you every time."

Club CEO Guy Primor discussed the challenges the club faced over the past year, emphasizing the goal of building Hapoel Tel Aviv as a community-oriented, competitive, and innovative club. He added, "We always want and strive to be the best in everything. We will always be humble and passionate, and every morning we will wake up to make Hapoel Tel Aviv better."

Dave Lobatzky, owner and CEO of IBI Investment House, also offered greetings, expressing cautious optimism for the upcoming season based on the first two home games. He acknowledged his unusual happiness as a longtime Hapoel fan, stating, "If the first two home games predict anything about this year, I must admit something that is not natural for a veteran Hapoel fan: I am happy. And even - despite everything history has taught me, a little optimistic." He concluded by highlighting the upcoming derby match, saying, "With all due respect to values, community, and optimism - we must remember that in the end, we are Hapoel Tel Aviv, next week there is a derby, and the derby is above all. Go Hapoel."

Team forward Omri Altman spoke about building something new and exceeding expectations, noting, "We are building something new here, and I don't think anyone expected us to be where we are today. We have waited for this for many years and broken many glass ceilings. We are on the right track."

The women's team was also acknowledged, with player Shi Perl expressing determination for the upcoming season in the Premier League, stating, "We start our renewed journey in the Premier League tomorrow, and we will give everything to go far. It is a privilege to be part of this community, and I hope we will continue to excite and delight everyone."
