Bnei Brak Installs Seven New Shelters, Bringing Total to 22 Since Operation 'With All Your Might'
The Bnei Brak municipality's emergency and security division, in conjunction with district coordinators, completed another significant phase of the city's "Sheltering the City" project on Tuesday, installing seven new public shelters in key locations across the city. This brings the total number of new shelters installed since Operation "With All Your Might" to 22.
The new shelters are strategically placed in areas identified through a detailed needs assessment and based on lessons learned from the field. Specific locations include Jabotinsky Street, Shlomo Ben Yosef Street, near the Geha Interchange, Ezra Street 59, close to the gas station complex on Geha Road, Shapira Garden, and Bialik Street.
This initiative is being carried out in close cooperation with the Home Front Command and the Ministry of Defense, aiming to provide rapid, life-saving protection for residents in every neighborhood at all times. Mayor Rabbi Chanoch Zeibert stated, "With the completion of this phase, the municipality has reached 22 new shelters installed since 'With All Your Might,' and we continue with full force to close any possible sheltering gap. The Bnei Brak municipality acts responsibly and in full cooperation with the Home Front Command to ensure every resident can feel safe in their immediate surroundings."
The mayor thanked district coordinator Yaakov Mangel for overseeing the project on behalf of the municipality's director-general's office, and all district coordinators for their dedicated efforts in mapping needs and facilitating the shelter installations.
