Leading Rabbis Convene to Launch New Cycle of Daily Mishnah Study
Prominent Israeli rabbis gathered at the residence of Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch in Jerusalem to mark the upcoming start of a new annual cycle for the 'Daily Mishnah' study program. This initiative involves learning one page of Mishnah daily, enabling participants to complete all six orders of the Mishnah within approximately one year.
The event, held to encourage participation in the 'Daily Mishnah' program, was attended by leading figures including Rabbi Yehoshua Eichenstein, the Rebbes of Bialla and Pinsk Karlin, Rabbi Binyamin Dovid Eliyashiv, Rabbi Yitzchak Cohen, Rabbi Ben Zion Kook, and Rabbi Yitzchak Shaul Kanievsky.
During the gathering, Rabbi Sternbuch praised the 'Daily Mishnah' program for its role in public education and commended Rabbi Shmuel Halperin for his efforts in expanding the study circle. The participating rabbis emphasized the importance of consistent daily study, highlighting its ability to provide a comprehensive and structured understanding of Jewish oral law.
A new edition of the Mishnah, featuring an integrated commentary by the 'Oz VeHadar' Torah scholars and divided into three large volumes, was presented to the rabbis. The event also celebrated the completion of 150,000 tests administered by the 'Sichat HaTorah' initiative, which offers daily quizzes on the Mishnah studies, representing tens of thousands of hours of dedicated learning by numerous participants.
The 'Daily Mishnah' program is preparing to welcome thousands of new learners for the upcoming cycle, drawing participants from across Israel and abroad.
