Massive Cigarette Smuggling Attempt Foiled at Barta'a Crossing
Israeli police thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large shipment of cigarettes valued at approximately 80,000 shekels. The operation took place during a field activity by the "Eron" police station in the northern Triangle region.
Officers stopped a truck suspected of transporting smuggled goods. A search of the vehicle revealed six boxes containing 360 cartons of contraband cigarettes.
The smuggled merchandise was confiscated, and the case has been transferred to customs authorities for further investigation and legal proceedings. The incident occurred in the Barta'a area.
