Rabbi Shternbuch to Lead Rosh Hashanah Prayers for Donors

As the High Holy Days approach, Rabbi Mordechai Shternbuch, a prominent rabbinical authority, is preparing to lead prayers for individuals who contribute to Torah scholars. A list of names will be presented to him during the "Avinu Malkeinu" prayer on Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, which falls on September 15-17 this year. The rabbi emphasizes the importance of supporting Torah study, particularly for those who defend it against detractors. He believes that supporting Torah scholars is a merit that brings abundant blessings for health, livelihood, and family.

Rabbi Shternbuch has called for public support for the "Teshuvot V'hanhagot" network of yeshivas, which he heads. This initiative has already led to the addition of over 100 scholars and the opening of two new branches. He personally vouches for the scholars in these yeshivas, describing them as "great Torah sages" and encouraging participation in supporting them.

To manage the process and avoid overburdening the rabbi, the list for special prayers will be limited to 200 names. A special partnership level, "Ktav Chatmenu L'chaim," is available for 3,000 shekels, which includes a signed document from the rabbi. The standard partnership contribution is set at 786 shekels, a number chosen to represent "a merit for abundant prosperity."

The rabbi stated that supporting Torah and its students provides the strength to "tear open the heavens." Those whose names are on the list will receive exceptional blessings for abundance in health, livelihood, wealth, satisfaction from descendants, and overall good fortune in the coming year. The deadline for inclusion is approaching as the list fills rapidly.
