Top Rabbi Issues 'Court Decree' for Donors to Receive Good News Within Six Months

A prominent rabbinic authority, Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch, is set to issue a unique decree on Rosh Hashanah for individuals donating to the "L'Krat Kallah" fund, managed by the "Kupat Ha'ir" charity. The deadline for submitting names to be included in this decree is Wednesday, September 4th, the day before Rosh Hashanah.

Rabbi Sternbuch, described as the "Posek HaDor" (decider of the generation) and a leading figure in Israeli religious law, will lead a rabbinical court in Beit Shemesh on Rosh Hashanah night. He and other judges will present the names of donors who have committed to the requested sum for the fund, which supports brides in need. They will then issue a decree stating that these donors will receive "good tidings within six months" of their contribution.

This is presented not as a general blessing but as a formal ruling from a rabbinical court, with a specific timeframe. Following Rosh Hashanah, the court will sign a "Good Tidings Document," a handwritten certificate attesting to the promise of good news within six months, which donors can receive.

The "Kupat Ha'ir" charity emphasizes that the "L'Krat Kallah" fund helps brides get married, and every donation is eligible for this special blessing. The organization urges potential donors not to wait until the last minute, as names submitted after the deadline will not be included in the decree or the subsequent document.
