Aura Demolishes 76 Apartments in Yehud-Monosson to Build 300 New Units

Aura is advancing another urban renewal project in Yehud-Monosson, having demolished 76 old apartments at the Weizmann 48-52 complex. In their place, 300 new apartments will be constructed across five buildings. This marks Aura's third project in the city, where it has been active for over a decade.

The project, named Aura Square, will be built as a single entity and will include a shared internal courtyard, a gym, a children's play area (jimboree), commercial spaces, and public buildings, in addition to the residential units. The construction will be carried out by Megido, a subsidiary of Aura, with architectural planning by Kika Braz Architects.

Aura Square joins two other large complexes Aura is developing in Yehud-Monosson: The Hanging Gardens, an occupied neighborhood with approximately 900 housing units, and Aura Link, which includes 444 housing units and is currently in marketing and construction phases. Combined, these three projects will comprise about 1,644 housing units, though they are in different stages of development.

Aura Square will nearly quadruple the number of apartments in its specific complex, from 76 to 300, integrating commercial and public uses. The project is situated in the heart of the old city. Aura states that both Aura Link and Aura Square are located near the planned Purple Line of the light rail and close to the exit from Yehud-Monosson.

Yakov Attarachi, CEO and owner of Aura, stated that this third project signifies a continuation of the company's decade-long involvement in the city. Yehud-Monosson Mayor Amnon Sa'ad added that the city is undergoing accelerated development and construction, with new building in the old city center progressing alongside infrastructure upgrades. He noted the municipality is working to streamline processes and prioritize permits for urban renewal complexes.
