Israel Continues Gaza Strikes Amid Ceasefire Violations

Israeli forces have continued to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip for the 11th consecutive month, exacerbating the dire humanitarian situation for civilians and displaced persons. On Wednesday, Israeli forces carried out new violations, including an Israeli drone strike near the Al-Bardawil family neighborhood in western Rafah, southern Gaza. Israeli artillery shelled eastern Khan Younis, while Israeli naval vessels fired intensively off the coast of the city. In Rafah, naval vessels also fired heavily at sea, coinciding with artillery shelling of the northeastern areas of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. In northern Gaza, naval vessels fired towards the northwestern areas, and artillery shelled the northern parts of Beit Lahia. These violations mark the 335th consecutive day of alleged Israeli breaches of the ceasefire, alongside a tightened blockade. Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been engaged in a war on Gaza, which Palestinian sources describe as characterized by ongoing truce violations since the ceasefire agreement was signed on October 10, 2025. These breaches persist despite US President Donald Trump's announcement on July 31, 2026, of a "new agreement" to begin the second phase of a "roadmap" for Gaza.
