Israeli Prospect Oren Goren Left Out of Barcelona's Champions League Squad
Israeli player Oren Goren, who impressed during Barcelona's preseason and with the reserve team, was not included in the final squad for the Catalan club's Champions League opener against Feyenoord at Camp Nou. Goren had been named in the expanded squad but did not make the final cut of 23 players, excluding Eric Garcia who is suspended.
Spanish media had previously praised Goren, with Catalan sports outlet 'Sport' noting his growing importance to Barcelona's reserve team. The publication highlighted his impressive preseason with the senior squad and his subsequent key role in the reserves, managed by Juliano Belletti.
Barcelona's Champions League campaign begins against Feyenoord. Following this match, the team is scheduled to face Galatasaray, PSG, Aston Villa, Sabadell, Manchester City, Sporting Lisbon, and Como in the league stage of the competition.
