In the same incident, the deputy logistics officer, a reserve battalion commander in Transport Battalion 556, and another reserve fighter were moderately wounded. The report did not identify any additional immediate details about the device or the exact circumstances of the patrol.
After the incident, Israeli forces struck terror infrastructure in the area with artillery fire.
