Religious Zionism Party Submits Knesset Candidate List

The Religious Zionism party submitted its list of candidates for the 26th Knesset elections on Tuesday evening. Finance Minister and party chairman Bezalel Smotrich is listed first, followed by Moshe Feiglin, as per an agreement between the Religious Zionism party and Feiglin's Zehut party. Minister Orit Strock is third, ahead of Simcha Rothman and Tzvika Mor. Reserve Lieutenant Colonel Itamar Eitam, who commanded a reconnaissance battalion and fought in Gaza and Lebanon before being seriously wounded, is sixth. Knesset Education Committee chairman Tzvi Sukkot is seventh, followed by Yitzhak Zaga, Reut Ben Haim, Omer Patziniach, and Arcady Mutter. Social activist Reut Ben Haim, founder of the Tzav 9 movement, is also on the list. Outgoing MK Ohad Tal was moved to the twelfth position, which is unlikely to secure him another Knesset seat. Tal stated his full support for Smotrich despite the personal cost, expressing hope that the changes would strengthen the party and the national camp, broaden its appeal, and maximize votes for the right. The remainder of the list includes Roei Kirshberg, Omer Rahamim, Sima Hasson, Michal Woldiger, Shirel Nahir Laloom, Shmuel Sasson, Iris Bernstein, and Zvika Vishingrad. The party stated it acted responsibly to unite the national camp and expand its voter base before the election.
