Religious Zionism MK Faces Personal Setback in Party List Shakeup

Oded Telle, a Member of Knesset for the Religious Zionism party, has been moved from the fourth position to the twelfth on the party's final election list. This significant drop in placement is a result of the party's alliance with Moshe Feiglin's "Zehut" party and several reserved spots allocated by party leader Bezalel Smotrich.

Despite the personal impact, Telle publicly expressed his support for the move, acknowledging the difficulty of the situation. "Personally, this is not a simple day for me," he stated in a candid social media post. He explained that after winning the fourth spot in the party's primaries based on the trust of the central committee members, the new arrangements pushed him back considerably.

Telle emphasized his commitment to the party and the unified list, despite the personal cost. He declared full backing for party chairman Smotrich, hoping these maneuvers will strengthen the party and the broader national camp, attract new demographics, and maximize votes for the right-wing bloc.

He also urged party activists and colleagues to unite for the upcoming election campaign, warning against vote wastage on parties that might not pass the electoral threshold. Telle stressed the importance of preventing a left-wing government that could harm Israel's security and Jewish identity, and reverse recent achievements. "Let's put ego aside, roll up our sleeves, and work with all our might in the coming two months," he called upon his colleagues.
