Founder of 'Tzav 9' Movement Joins Religious Zionism Party List

Reut Ben Haim, founder of the "Tzav 9" movement, has joined the Religious Zionism party's list for the upcoming Knesset elections. Party leader and Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced the decision on Tuesday, highlighting Ben Haim's role in leading protests against aid to the enemy during the recent war.

Ben Haim, an educator and social activist, is known for her determined opposition to sending aid to Gaza during the conflict. As a resident of Netivot and wife of a reserve soldier, she has actively advocated for the security of residents in the Gaza envelope and for the families of reservists bearing the burden of combat.

Originally from Acre and Nahariya, Ben Haim is a mother of nine children and has dedicated her life to extensive educational and social work. She also volunteers to assist victims of sexual offenses in legal proceedings and rehabilitation. Her family also serves as an emergency foster family for children removed from their homes.

Minister Smotrich welcomed Ben Haim, describing her as a brave fighter who brings a female, value-driven, and determined voice representing the principles of Religious Zionism. Ben Haim expressed her excitement to join, driven by a sense of mission and belief in the cause, pledging to advocate for the vulnerable, reserve families, Gaza envelope residents, and victims of sexual offenses.

The "Tzav 9" movement congratulated Ben Haim, calling her inclusion a clear Zionist response to what they termed illegal sanctions against the movement. They affirmed that their public campaign will continue until the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip is halted and the Hamas terror organization is eliminated.
