Activist Reut Ben Haim Joins Religious Zionist Party List

Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced the addition of Reut Ben Haim, founder of the "Tzav 9" organization, to the Religious Zionist Party's Knesset candidate list. Ben Haim, a mother of nine from Netivot, is known for leading protests against humanitarian aid to Gaza during the ongoing conflict. She also advocates for security measures for communities near the Gaza border and for the families of reservists.

Ben Haim's activism extends to volunteering with victims of sexual assault and providing a foster home for children. Smotrich praised her as a "brave fighter" dedicated to the Israeli people, highlighting her work with assault victims, children in need, and her efforts to block aid to Gaza during wartime. He expressed pride in her joining the party, believing she embodies its values and will be an excellent public representative.

Ben Haim stated she is excited to join the "winning team" of the Religious Zionist Party out of a sense of mission and belief in their path. She aims to bring the voices of the vulnerable and unheard in society to the public sphere. Her priorities include working for Israel's security, supporting reservist families and residents of the Gaza border region, protecting victims of assault, and strengthening national resilience, intending to translate her grassroots work into policy.
