Ultra-Orthodox 'Leftist' Party Submits Knesset List

The "Haredi Public" party, led by Moti Leitner, has officially submitted its candidate list to the Central Elections Committee for the 26th Knesset. Running under the slogan "For My Brothers, the Party of All Israel" and seeking the ballot letters "ZAK" (זך), the party defines itself as "religious leftist."

The party's political platform emphasizes seeking diplomatic agreements, ending hostilities, and adopting a liberal stance. Leitner has placed Dr. Nechumi Yaffe, a religious researcher from Harvard University, in the third position on the list, signaling a clear alignment with the "religious left," a movement comprising religious individuals who identify with left-wing politics.

Dr. Yaffe, who identifies as both liberal and religious, stated in an interview that she believes Israel should pursue opportunities for agreements and ceasefires to prevent further loss of life. The full list includes Moti Leitner first, Asher Ferdi second, Nechumi Yaffe third, followed by Ziva Ranit Glantz, Mordechai Rubinstein, Yitzhak Adlerstein, Aharon Ungar, Yehuda Oppenheimer, Chaim Yehuda Leib Gottlieb, Yona Shlomo Kaufman, Eliyahu Goldberg, and Reuven Ohana.

The submission marks the formal launch of the party's campaign, which will now navigate the political implications of its chosen platform and leadership.
