Israel Police Commissioner said the force would treat any breaches in conduct during the protest at the Bnei Brak junction seriously after reviewing video from the demonstration. He said that if the footage shows commanders or officers acted outside procedures, police would not hesitate to take severe action and suspend them from operational duty.
According to the commissioner, several senior commanders were present at the protest, and he expected them to maintain control of the event. He stressed that the police would examine the videos from the protest before deciding on further measures.
In line with that approach, Tel Aviv District Commander, Chief Superintendent Chaim Sargrof, ordered the immediate suspension from operational activity of the officer who was filmed kicking a protester during the rally, pending clarification of the circumstances.
