Police officer suspended after kicking protester at Bnei Brak junction rally
Israel Police Commissioner Dani Levy said that if review of video from the protest at the Bnei Brak junction shows commanders and officers acted contrary to procedure, the force will not hesitate to deal with them harshly and suspend them from operational duties. Levy added that senior commanders were present at the protest and that he expected them to control the event.
At the same time, Tel Aviv District Commander Ch. Supt. Chaim Sargrof ordered the immediate suspension from operational activity of the officer who kicked a protester during the demonstration, pending clarification of the circumstances of the incident.
