Hezbollah Faces Setbacks, Seeks Retaliation Amidst Increased Pressure

Hezbollah is experiencing significant distress following the loss of 15 "shelter city" tunnels in southern Lebanon, a blow that has eroded its credibility within Lebanon, leaving it perceived as weakened and exposed. This internal pressure, coupled with external factors like U.S. pressure on Iran and targeted killings in Gaza, is pushing the Iran-Hezbollah axis to seek new arenas for retaliation against Israel.

In response, Israel is observing increased financial flows into the West Bank and heightened attempts at terrorist attacks, preparing for potential escalation, particularly during the upcoming holiday period. The Israeli military is anticipating an increase in roadside bomb attacks by Hezbollah operatives aiming to inflict casualties on IDF forces in Lebanon.
