Trump said the United States had reached an agreement that met “99 percent” of what it wanted. He added that it would “open the strait” and prevent Iran from ever obtaining a nuclear weapon.
In his remarks, Trump mocked those who had wanted him to continue the confrontation, calling them “fools,” and described Israel as a “very small partner.” The comments came as he presented the Iran agreement as the major outcome of the summit.
