President Donald Trump continued promoting the Iran agreement he signed the night before from the Palace of Versailles at the close of the G7 summit. He is facing heavy criticism, with many observers saying the deal gives Iran everything it wanted and possibly more, but Trump rejected that view and stood by the agreement.
Trump argued that critics are focusing on the wrong measure of the deal’s value. Instead of regional strategy or the long-term nuclear threat, he pointed to financial markets. “The fools who think I was not tough enough with Iran, while the stock market just hit an all-time high and oil prices are ‘plummeting’!” he said.
He then lashed out at his detractors, saying, “They are either haters, bad people, or fools. Make America Great Again!!!”
