Soldier Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault of Teen
Police in the Ayalon region have launched an investigation into a 21-year-old soldier suspected of committing a sexual act against a 13-year-old boy in an abandoned building in central Israel. The minor is the one who filed the complaint. According to the boy's account, the soldier took him to the building, lowered his pants, and sexually assaulted him against his will.
Investigators learned that the two had known each other for about two to three weeks and had met several times during this period, though only one sexual encounter occurred. Following the complaint, the soldier was arrested. He claims the encounter was consensual, that the teen initiated the contact, and that he had told the soldier he was 16 and a half years old.
