Richard Dekk Denies Misleading Statement in Maccabi Tel Aviv Ownership Dispute

Businessman Richard Dekk has issued a statement refuting claims made by Shimon Mizrahi and Udi Recanati regarding the ongoing ownership dispute of the Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball club. Dekk stated that while a court rejected his request for an injunction on Sunday evening, this decision was procedural, maintaining the status quo until an arbitrator is appointed. He emphasized that the court explicitly acknowledged his right to appeal recent actions taken by Mizrahi and Recanati concerning club shares, indicating the core dispute remains unresolved.

Dekk further clarified that the court prohibited Mizrahi and Recanati from taking further corporate actions without prior notice, recognizing Dekk's right to seek an injunction if the current situation is violated. This, he asserted, prevents them from making surprise moves, referencing a previous incident on Saturday night.

Addressing the accusation that his previous statement concealed the court's decision, Dekk countered that his announcement was made hours before the court's ruling was published, sarcastically noting that mind-reading is not among his skills.

He acknowledged the frustration of Maccabi fans due to the prolonged ownership conflict, describing it as an unpleasant topic.
