A three-day fair called "Heart With the North" opened today at Jaffa Port, bringing dozens of businesses from northern Israel to the public. The event is being staged by Jaffa Port and Channel 12 in Warehouse 2, next to the Container House, and is meant to provide direct support to businesses from the confrontation line, the Galilee and the Golan Heights that were hit during the war.
Visitors can buy food, fruit, honey, jams, olive oil, chocolates, cheeses, meats, cosmetics, wine, jewelry, crafts, textiles and other goods directly from the producers, without middlemen. Organizers say the fair will feature farmers, artisans, manufacturers and guesthouse owners from the north meeting customers in person and selling their products on site.
Channel 12 will broadcast live from a special stand at the port, with Guy Varon and Almog Boker covering the event. The initiative grew out of Boker’s "Helping Businesses in the North" segment, which reportedly assisted more than 1,000 businesses during the fighting.
The fair runs for three days: Wednesday, June 17, from 16:00 to 23:00, Thursday, June 18, from 12:00 to 23:00, and Friday, June 19, from 10:00 to 15:00. The article also published a long list of participating businesses, including producers from the north offering local food, drinks, crafts, clothing, home goods, and wellness items.
