Jaffa Port Fair Will Showcase and Support Northern Israeli Businesses
Dozens of farmers, artists and producers from Israel’s northern front line are set to arrive on Wednesday at Warehouse 2 in Jaffa Port for the three-day fair "Heart With the North." The event, organized with N12 and Jaffa Port Company, is intended to support evacuated northern residents and businesses hit hard during the war, while letting visitors buy directly from the sellers without intermediaries.
Among the participants is Studio "Uma," run by Arad and Maya, a married couple who live with their three daughters in Kfar Tavor in the Galilee. They said their ideas are born "here, between family, education and creativity," and described their products as things that connect people around a table, in a family, classroom, group of friends, or even alone.
The studio develops educational placemats and original paper escape rooms that combine knowledge, creativity and fun. The couple said they aim to make products that are not only attractive, but also spark curiosity, thought and conversation, and that encourage children, parents and other participants to pause, play, learn and feel moved together.
The fair will feature food stalls, seasonal fruit, honey, jams, olive oil, chocolates, cheeses, fresh meat, cosmetics and aromatic oils, along with jewelry, ceramics, stained glass, fashion, accessories and vintage items. Cooking and pastry vendors from the north will also appear, and street performances on the pier will add to the family atmosphere. N12 said the live broadcast from a special on-site studio will include Guy Veron and Almog Boker, whose "Helping Northern Businesses" segment has already assisted more than 1,000 businesses during the fighting. Jaffa Port manager Kobi Yardeni said the port sees itself as a public space that connects people and communities, and that opening its gates is part of an effort to strengthen the north.
The fair will run in Warehouse 2 next to the container house at Jaffa Port from Wednesday, June 17, through Friday, June 19, with hours of 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, noon to 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, and 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
