A three-day fair called “Heart with the North” opened Wednesday at Jaffa Port’s Warehouse 2, with dozens of businesses from northern Israel selling directly to the public. The event, organized by Jaffa Port and Channel 12 News, is meant to provide direct support to businesses from the confrontation line, the Galilee and the Golan Heights that were damaged during the war.
Visitors can buy a wide range of products, including food, fruit, honey and jams, olive oil, chocolates, cheeses, meats and cosmetics. Farmers, artisans, producers and hospitality businesses from the north are taking part, meeting customers in person and selling without intermediaries.
The fair will run through Friday, June 19. Opening hours are Wednesday, June 17, from 16:00 to 23:00, Thursday, June 18, from 12:00 to 23:00, and Friday, June 19, from 10:00 to 15:00. Channel 12 will broadcast live from a special on-site studio with Guy Varon and Almog Boker.
The initiative grew out of Boker’s “Helping Businesses in the North” segment, which helped more than 1,000 businesses during the fighting. The article also published a long list of participating vendors, covering food producers, jewelers, ceramic artists, textile makers, cosmetic sellers, and tourism-related businesses.
