Hapoel Be'er Sheva Bolsters Squad in Record Spending Window

Hapoel Be'er Sheva has concluded a busy and expensive transfer window, aiming to strengthen its squad for European competition and the upcoming Israeli Premier League season. The club has reportedly acquired two senior players for most positions, with a notable exception at right-back where Guy Mizechi is the sole natural player.

In goal, Marko Wolf joins Ofir Marciano. The defense has been reinforced with the return of Idan Nachmias from Ludogorets, who brings league experience, and the arrival of Itay Rotman. Pedro Amador has been brought in to cover left-back, replacing the veteran Helder Lopes.

The team also sought to bolster its attack. Following the departure of Jaba Ivanišević to the wing and an injury to Igor Zlatanović, the club signed a high-caliber foreign striker, Adrian Ogrisse, from Kiryat Shmona for a reported €1 million. Jonas Mladen was also acquired from Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Further strengthening the midfield and attack, Forson Amankwah was signed from Norwich City, with Norwich covering a significant portion of his salary and Be'er Sheva paying €300,000. The club holds a €2 million option to purchase Amankwah, who has impressed in training with his dribbling, vision, and shooting. He joins midfielders Niv Yehoshua and the expensive but injured João Victor.

Manager Ran Kochav faces the challenge of managing a deep and talented squad. However, the club is expected to trim its roster in the coming week, with Roy Levi and Yoni Stoyanov reportedly among those likely to depart. At least one more foreign player and three additional players are also expected to leave before the season begins.
