Israel Police said its National Economic Crime Unit found more than NIS 800,000 in cash, about $2,500 and gold coins during proactive searches in Rahat. The searches were carried out as part of an enforcement operation, according to the police statement.
Three suspects were arrested on suspicion of offenses involving income tax, the cash law and money laundering. No further details were provided about the suspects or the circumstances of the seizure.
