Senior Regional Council Head Joins Gadi Eisenkot's Party

Moshe Davidovitch, head of the Mateh Asher Regional Council and chairman of the Northern Confrontation Line Forum, announced on Monday his joining of the "Yashar! Im Eisenkot" party. Davidovitch will be placed 40th on the party's list for the 26th Knesset.

Gadi Eisenkot, chairman of Yashar!, stated that he sees Davidovitch as the most suitable person to be entrusted with a key national mission: serving as the minister for the rehabilitation and development of the North and South in the next government. Davidovitch, who has served as Mateh Asher's regional council head since 2018 and chairs the forum representing communities along the northern border, has extensive experience in public administration and regional development. He previously held positions including CEO of the Galilee Development Authority and CEO of Acre Municipality.

Since the October 7th attacks and the ensuing conflict in the north, Davidovitch has been a leading advocate for the residents of the confrontation line communities, focusing on their security, evacuation, return, protection, education, and the rehabilitation of their towns. He has actively engaged with the government and security establishment on these issues, prioritizing the needs of the north on the national agenda.

Davidovitch expressed his commitment to working within the Yashar! party and the future government to advance the rehabilitation and development of the north and south. His goals include strengthening communities affected by the war, fostering economic growth and employment, and bolstering local governance. He aims to contribute to a long-term national vision that will transform the northern and southern regions into safe, thriving areas, attracting young people and families.

Eisenkot praised Davidovitch's leadership during challenging times, highlighting his responsibility, support for residents, determination, and execution capabilities. Davidovitch stated his motivation for joining is to bring the experiences and voices from the ground directly into decision-making processes, aiming to fundamentally change the reality in the north and south by ensuring their security, growth, and prosperity. The party has agreed on significant increases in government investment for the north and south, prioritizing infrastructure for growth and development across various sectors.
