Modzitz Hasidim Unveil Grand New Ark During Selichot Prayers
During the first Selichot prayers of the season, Hasidim of Modzitz in Bnei Brak were privileged to witness the unveiling of a new, magnificent Holy Ark in their grand synagogue. The final touches were completed just before the Saturday night prayers, led by the Rebbe, allowing the assembled Hasidic community to behold the ornate structure.
A dedicated team of artists and craftsmen, managed by Yehuda Haim Wager of 'Heichalot' company, worked diligently in recent weeks to finish the ark. This marks another significant addition for the Modzitz community as they prepare for the new year, following last year's installation of new flooring and the inauguration of their yeshiva building four years prior.
The new Holy Ark, described as one of the largest and tallest in Israel, is adorned with intricate wood carvings and stunning gold embellishments, evoking an atmosphere of ancient grandeur and reverence. It replaces a temporary depiction of the ark that had graced the eastern wall in recent years.
The unveiling of the ark during the Selichot period, a time of repentance and prayer leading up to the High Holidays, is seen as adding to the solemnity and spiritual elevation of the services. The community expressed gratitude to God and all those who contributed to the completion of the project, particularly the donors who helped beautify their place of worship.
The final assembly and finishing stages were completed in the days leading up to Saturday night's Selichot service, with intensive work by an expanded team. The community was able to see the ark in its full splendor, adding honor and beauty to their sanctuary.
