Israeli Strikes Kill 10 in Southern Lebanon; Ambulance Hit
Israeli airstrikes on Monday morning targeted the town of Kafra, southern Lebanon, killing ten people and injuring seven others, according to the National News Agency. Rescue teams recovered the bodies of the ten victims from a destroyed building. Israeli warplanes also conducted raids on the towns of Arabsalim and Nabatieh al-Fawqa.
In a separate incident, a drone strike hit an ambulance belonging to the Al-Resala Association in Kafra, causing several injuries. An Israeli airstrike also hit a building in the town of Deir ez-Zahrani shortly after the Israeli army issued an evacuation warning.
The raids coincided with intense artillery shelling on the outskirts of the Nabatieh region, Kafra, and surrounding hills, amid ongoing Israeli aggression in southern Lebanon and alleged violations of the ceasefire agreement.
The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health's Emergency Health Operations Center reported that cumulative casualties from Israeli aggression between March 2 and September 6 reached 4,362 killed and 12,378 wounded. The total death toll since October 8, 2023, has risen to 8,929 killed and 30,614 wounded.
