Jerusalem Robbery Attempt Foiled by Armed Victim Near ATM

An attempted robbery in Jerusalem's Givat Shaul neighborhood on Sunday evening ended with the suspect being shot and wounded. According to police and witnesses, a man armed with a knife attacked another man who had just withdrawn cash from an ATM on Kanfei Nesharim Street.

The assailant reportedly demanded the money from the victim. In response, the victim drew a pistol and fired at his attacker. The suspect, described as a man in his 30s, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center.

The Israeli police confirmed that the incident involved an attempted robbery and that the suspect was wounded by one of the participants. An investigation into the events is ongoing.
