Yoaz Hendel and Yaron Zehlikha Announce Joint Political Run

Yoaz Hendel, leader of the Reservists party, has announced a new political alliance with Professor Yaron Zehlikha's Economic party. This move comes after Hendel's previous partner, Chili Tropper, joined Benny Gantz's National Unity party. Hendel aims to position his party as a "third bloc" in Israeli politics, distinct from the two major political camps.

Hendel described the union as a partnership between Zehlikha, who seeks to dismantle monopolies contributing to the high cost of living, and the reservists fighting political monopolies. Key principles agreed upon include a commitment to serve only in a "Zionist government" and a demand for a universal conscription law before government formation.

Hendel emphasized their differentiation from other parties, stating that those favoring a coalition with Haredi parties have options elsewhere, and those comfortable with a minority government relying on Arab parties can find representation in the opposition. He asserted their goal is to offer an alternative for those desiring a stable, Zionist government.

Zehlikha highlighted Hendel's understanding of soldiers' needs and pledged to improve their lives while working towards equal military service for all. He also stated that his economic team would secure funding for the Reservists' vision and combat monopolies, promising significant price reductions that could save families tens of thousands of shekels annually.
