Yoaz Hendel and Yaron Zelekha Unite for Upcoming Knesset Elections

Just hours after announcing a split from Chili Tropper, Yoaz Hendel, chairman of the 'Miluimniks' party, declared on Sunday that he will run jointly with Professor Yaron Zelekha, chairman of the Economic party, in the upcoming 26th Knesset elections. Earlier on Sunday, Hendel and Tropper had announced their separation, with Tropper joining Gadi Eisenkot's 'Yashar!' party. Hendel, left without a list, has now joined forces with Zelekha.

A joint statement from Tropper and Hendel emphasized their long-standing friendship and shared commitment to public service, both in the past and potentially in the future. They noted the recent establishment of 'Beit Tzioni-HaMiluimniks' with the goal of forming a broad Zionist government. Both acknowledged the complex political reality leading to their individual decisions but reaffirmed their shared ideological vision and commitment to serving the country and promoting internal cohesion.

The statement also highlighted the success of their previous joint party, which attracted many members and was close to the electoral threshold in polls. Despite the split, they stressed that their ideological partnership remains intact, expressing confidence in future public cooperation and, most importantly, their enduring friendship, stating there is no animosity between them.
