Yoaz Hendel Responds to Hili Tropper's Departure, Affirms Party's Independence

Yoaz Hendel, chairman of the 'Miluimnikim' (Reservists) party, has released a video statement addressing his political partner Hili Tropper's decision to leave their party and join another political bloc. Hendel expressed personal and political disappointment but affirmed that the Miluimnikim party will continue to run independently in the upcoming elections.

"Hili is a brother and a friend," Hendel began, stating that despite the circumstances, their friendship will endure. He acknowledged the personal pain caused by the decision, but emphasized its greater national implications. Hendel spoke about the challenging path the Miluimnikim party has chosen, including their refusal to compromise on principles in exchange for guaranteed Knesset seats.

"We are after three years of war. Reservists like us, who have served hundreds of days and paid a heavy price, do not give up," Hendel stated. He explained that the party has received comfortable offers that would guarantee seats, but they firmly believe their chosen path is what is right for Israel.

Hendel concluded by calling on public officials to prioritize the country over narrow political considerations. "You need to remember that politics is a means, not the goal. Our goal is a Zionist government," he said. He urged that his party can prevent further elections and help establish a Zionist government, bringing good people to ensure Israel emerges from the current war flourishing and prosperous.
