Soldier Kills Himself After Shooting Spree in Netanya
Sergeant David Hoyer Amrani, 20, died after opening fire in the air in the Kiryat HaSharon neighborhood of Netanya on Tuesday. Police forces responded to the scene and engaged in a shootout with the soldier, during which he was neutralized. Hoyer Amrani, who served in the IDF's Nahal Brigade, was reportedly in his uniform when the incident occurred. He was evacuated to Laniado Hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his wounds. The circumstances leading to the shooting are currently under investigation by the IDF and the Israel Police.
