Border Police Fighter Killed in Netanya Shooting Incident

The Israel Police and Border Police announced with sorrow the death of Sergeant David Hoyer Amrani, a 20-year-old Border Police fighter from Netanya, who was killed in a shooting incident earlier in the day in the city. Security officials stated that the circumstances of the incident are still under investigation, with all contributing details being examined. Amrani, who enlisted in the Border Police in August 2024, completed his training and was assigned to serve in Hebron as part of the West Bank Border Police unit, where he began his operational service. Approximately eight months ago, he transferred to Company Lamed Tet of the West Bank Border Police, continuing his service there until the incident. He is survived by his parents and two siblings. His family has been officially notified. The Israel Police and Border Police expressed their deep condolences to the family and pledged continued support.
