Police Say There Is Evidentiary Basis Against Energy Minister Eli Cohen in Diplomatic Passport Probe
Police believe there is enough evidence against Energy Minister Eli Cohen in an investigation into suspected breach of trust linked to the issuance of diplomatic passports to various people for allegedly non-professional reasons while he served as foreign minister.
The case, known as the “diplomatic passports” affair, also involves former Foreign Ministry director general Ronen Levy and former foreign minister’s aide Tali Albaz as suspects.
The file has now been transferred to the State Attorney’s Office for review, which will decide on the next steps in the case.
