Top Breslov Rabbi Leads Penitential Prayers and Shofar Blowing
Rabbi Yaakov Meir Shakter, considered the senior leader of the Breslov Hasidic movement, led the first penitential prayers (Slichot) at his home in Bnei Brak early Tuesday morning. Following the prayers, he recited the morning service (Shacharit) and concluded by blowing the shofar, a traditional practice.
