Political correspondent Michael Shemesh of Channel 13 discussed on 103FM the latest shift in the mandate polls published by Kan News. He said that, for the first time, former prime minister Naftali Bennett has fallen behind MK Gadi Eisenkot in projected seats.
Shemesh said the gap is now significant, with Bennett at 17 mandates and Eisenkot at 21. In his words, the change shows a major reshaping of the opposition balance of power.
He added that Bennett’s decline is not limited to television polls. According to Shemesh, much of Bennett’s support came from his status as a perceived leader, and that advantage is now eroding.
