A News 13 poll published Wednesday shows Gadi Eisenkot continuing to outperform Naftali Bennett, widening his lead over him. The poll also indicates that neither bloc currently has enough seats to form a government.
According to the survey, Likud is the largest party with 22 seats. Eisenkot's Yesh! list follows with 20, while Bennett and Yair Lapid each receive 17. The Democrats and Yisrael Beytenu are tied at 11 seats apiece.
Among the smaller parties, Shas gets 9 seats, Otzma Yehudit and United Torah Judaism each get 8, Hadash-Ta'al gets 6, and Ra'am and Religious Zionism each get 4. In bloc terms, Eisenkot's opposition camp stands at 59 seats, while Netanyahu's coalition bloc has 51.
The poll also tested a hypothetical merger of Bennett, Lapid and Eisenkot. If Eisenkot led that joint list, it would win 35 seats, but if Bennett headed it, the list would get 31. The results underscore Eisenkot's stronger standing in the survey and the lack of a governing majority for either side.
