Thirteen Workers Injured in Israeli Workplace Accidents Last Week

Thirteen workers sustained injuries in workplace accidents across Israel over the past week, with most cases classified as moderate. However, one worker suffered a severe injury on Sunday when his hand was severed by a waste recycling machine in Jerusalem.

Several incidents involved falls from heights. In Elad, a 32-year-old worker fell approximately four meters from a ladder, sustaining moderate injuries and being transported to Sheba Medical Center. In Lod, a worker around 50 years old fell from a height at a factory, suffering moderate head and chest injuries and also taken to Sheba Medical Center. In Tekuma, a 27-year-old fell from scaffolding about four meters high, receiving moderate injuries to his limbs and being taken to Soroka Medical Center. In Sdot Negev, a worker around 30 fell from a height, sustaining moderate limb injuries and also taken to Soroka.

Other incidents included a 32-year-old worker in Lehavim who inhaled toxic material at a restaurant, resulting in moderate injuries and transport to Meir Medical Center. In Herzliya, a 20-year-old worker suffered moderate limb injuries from a circular saw at a factory. Another worker in Herzliya, aged 25, was cut by a paper-cutting device, with minor injuries. A 70-year-old worker fell from a ladder at a construction site in Brosh, sustaining minor injuries. A 44-year-old fell about five meters at a construction site in Tayibe, suffering moderate head and limb injuries and taken to Meir Medical Center.

Further incidents involved a 40-year-old worker falling about five meters in Tel Aviv, sustaining multiple system injuries and taken to Ichilov Hospital. In Eilat, a 57-year-old fell from a two-meter ladder, sustaining leg injuries and taken to Yoseftal Hospital. Additionally, a worker was trapped in an asphalt scrubbing machine near the Jat interchange and required rescue by firefighters.
