Lebanese Official Calls Israeli Capture of Ali Taher Ridge a Major Blow to Hezbollah

The source explained that beyond the loss of military infrastructure, the event severely damages Hezbollah's reputation internally as Lebanon's protector, a narrative now exposed as false. The same source added that Hezbollah is also embarrassed by the release of Lebanese prisoners by Israel, as it has become clear they were detained because of Hezbollah, and Israel is now facilitating their release. Meanwhile, the Israeli military is preparing for sensitive days on the northern front following the completion of the clearing of two underground tunnels in the Ali Taher Ridge. Israeli forces have achieved operational control above and below ground, though efforts to neutralize the tunnels are ongoing. Israel is anticipating a potential response from Hezbollah and possibly Iran.
