Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona Eyes Romanian Striker Alexandru Pop

Israeli Premier League club Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona is reportedly considering signing Alexandru Pop, a 26-year-old forward from Romanian club Dinamo București. Pop is being eyed as a potential replacement for a departing foreign striker, with the club having recently sold its foreign forward to Hapoel Be'er Sheva. Pop, who was born in Buenos Aires and has played his entire career in Romania, joined Dinamo București in the winter of 2025 for 125,000 euros. Last season, he scored five goals and provided two assists, becoming a regular starter by the end of the upper playoff stage. He is described as a fast player capable of playing on the wing and is currently in good form, having started seven games this season and contributing a goal and an assist in one match. Dinamo București, where Nikita Stoyanov also plays, is currently leading the Romanian league.
