Romanian Forward Daniel Parashiv Nears Transfer to Israeli Premier League Club Bnei Sakhnin
Days before the start of the 2026/27 Israeli Premier League season, Bnei Sakhnin announced the loan signing of Ilai Hajaj from Beitar Jerusalem. However, the club's reinforcement plans are not over. According to Sport 5, Bnei Sakhnin is in advanced negotiations to acquire Romanian forward Daniel Parashiv. The 27-year-old striker, who played last season for Rapid FC in Romania and Cultural Leonesa in Spain's second division, is close to joining the northern Israeli club to strengthen the squad under coach Yossi Abuksis.
Parashiv is valued at approximately 800,000 euros on Transfermarkt. He spent several years in the Romanian league before being sold to Spain's Real Oviedo in summer 2024 for 700,000 euros. While contracted to Oviedo, a team that played in La Liga last season, he was loaned out twice before his contract ended this summer. In the 2025/26 season, Parashiv made 19 appearances and scored 4 goals in all competitions in Romania, followed by 10 appearances and 1 goal in Spain with Cultural Leonesa.
This potential signing reflects Bnei Sakhnin's ongoing efforts to bolster their squad ahead of the new season, complementing their recent loan acquisition of Hajaj. The club aims to enhance its competitiveness in the Israeli Premier League starting in late August 2026.
