Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona Eyes Romanian Forward as Ogrysa Replacement
Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona is reportedly considering Alexandru Pop, a forward from Romanian club Dinamo București, as a potential replacement for the departing Ogrysa. Pop, a 26-year-old native of Buenos Aires, has spent his entire career in Romania after developing in Cluj. He was transferred to Dinamo București for 125,000 euros in the winter of 2025.
Last season, Pop scored five goals and provided two assists, becoming a regular starter by the end of the top playoff. He is known for his speed and versatility, capable of playing on the wing. Pop is currently in good form, having started seven matches this season and scoring and assisting against Universitatea Craiova.
Dinamo București, where Pop plays alongside Nikita Stoyanov, is currently leading the Romanian league. The potential transfer to Kiryat Shmona comes after the Israeli club's foreign striker was sold to champion Hapoel Be'er Sheva.
