Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona Eyes Romanian Striker Alexandru Pop

Israeli Premier League club Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona is reportedly considering Romanian striker Alexandru Pop as a potential replacement for the recently sold forward Ohad Abu. Pop, a 26-year-old native of Buenos Aires who has spent his career in Romania, currently plays for Dinamo București. He was transferred to Dinamo in the winter of 2025 for 125,000 euros. Last season, Pop scored five goals and provided two assists, becoming a regular starter by the end of the top playoff stage. He is described as a fast player capable of playing on the wing and is currently in good form, having started seven games this season and contributing a goal and an assist against Universitatea Craiova. Dinamo București, where Nikita Stoyanov also plays, is currently leading the Romanian league. Pop's potential move to Kiryat Shmona comes after the club's forward was sold to league champions Hapoel Be'er Sheva.
