Roy Burns Leaves Hapoel Tel Aviv for Maccabi Jaffa
Goalkeeper Roy Burns, 24, has officially transferred from Hapoel Tel Aviv to Maccabi Jaffa on a one-year contract with an option for the 2027/28 season. Burns, who was on loan to Maccabi Jaffa last season, returns to the National League team with a permanent contract.
Burns was part of Hapoel Tel Aviv's squad for their 3-0 victory over Beitar Jerusalem just yesterday, but has now departed. Previously, he was also loaned to Hapoel Kfar Shalem.
During a critical juncture in the 2023/24 season, Hapoel Tel Aviv's primary goalkeeper, Emilijus Zubas, was injured and left the country. Burns then stepped in. Despite his efforts, the team was relegated to the National League.
