Toddler Critically Injured in Jerusalem Hit-and-Run Near Home

A toddler, approximately four years old, was critically injured on Friday after being struck by a vehicle, apparently near his home in the Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhood of Jerusalem. Emergency medical teams responded to the scene and began providing aid to the child, who was found without a pulse or breathing. He was urgently transported to the hospital.

Initial investigations suggest the incident was accidental, with a family acquaintance reversing a vehicle in the parking area and unintentionally hitting the child. Paramedics described the scene as "horrific," noting the child's unconscious state and severe head trauma upon their arrival. They continued resuscitation efforts en route to the hospital.

Jerusalem police have opened an investigation into the incident. The child was brought to a medical center in Pisgat Ze'ev by his family in critical condition following the vehicle collision, which is believed to have occurred in the vicinity of the home's parking lot.
