Michal Shir Quits Yesh Atid, Won't Run in Upcoming Elections
Member of Knesset (MK) Michal Shir announced Friday evening that she will not be running in the upcoming elections on the Yesh Atid party list, continuing a wave of departures from the party. Shir, who began her political career in the Likud party before moving to the New Hope party and later joining Yesh Atid, is the latest in a series of lawmakers and senior officials to leave the party ahead of the elections.
In her statement announcing the end of her parliamentary career, Shir stated that she would continue to serve the public outside the Knesset. She also thanked Yesh Atid chairman Yair Lapid for their partnership and shared journey over the past few years.
